Hardware Issues
Problems related to hardware trouble or failure will typically result in replacement of the defective part. Prices in this case vary, depending on the item in question. In most cases, the customer will be charged for 1 hour of service ($80 in-house, $100 on-site) in addition to the price of the needed hardware. In addition to replacing the defective part, our service technicians will
- Download and install the most recently updated software for the installed hardware
- Install updates for Windows, ensuring your operating system remains secure
Windows System Issues
If your Windows operating system becomes corrupted, it may be necessary to wipe and reinstall Windows completely. In cases such as this, all customer files are backed up ahead of time, and copied back into a seperate folder on the C:\ drive, labled "olddrive". Once Windows has been wiped and reinstalled, the following software is installed in addition to Windows.
Beyond these applications, most other software will have to be reinstalled by the customer. If you have additional software that you would like installed, it is important that you let our technicians know in advance, and bring the needed disks or CD's for us to install the programs on your computer.
Spyware/Adware/Virus Issues
- Scan for trojans and viruses using three separate anti-virus agents
- Scan for spyware and adware using multiple anti-malware agents
- Remove any software designed to sabotage Windows
- Install updates for Windows, ensuring your operating system remains secure
- Install anti-virus software on your system, if no software currently exists
- Install anti-malware software to help prevent future instances of adware/spyware attacks
